- Our Story -

Diana (Buffington) Albritton, is a native Floridian born in St. Petersburg, Florida .
Diana grew up with a military background and graduated from West Orange High School located in Winter Garden, Florida. She then attended University of Florida and graduated from the UF College of Journalism and Communications. She also studied abroad as a college student.
Diana moved to Highlands County (Sebring), Florida
after marrying her husband, Scotto whom she met while attending University of Florida.
Her past employers were with hospital administration and she also spent over thirteen years with a local stock brokerage firm before the birth of Albritton Insurance Services in 2004.
If you ask Diana how is she doing today, she will simply say, “Happy.”
In 2002, she discovered a breast cancer lump in her right breast and had a mastectomy and multiple additional surgeries. In Diana’s mind, removing the cancer was the easy part.
She found herself disabled in her right arm with nerve pain and unable to go back to work at a local stock brokerage firm for almost two years.
Diana recalls many conversations with her mother when they rode together to the pain clinic at Moffitt Cancer Center, but one is a constant reminder. Diana’s mother said, "God has a plan for all our lives, we just need to trust Him and go along for the ride."
Being disabled in her right arm was a result of the many surgeries that cured her cancer. Diana prayed that this would change her life, not only a journey to become stronger, but allow her to open her own insurance agency and be mission minded to help others in ways only FAITH would have her do.
Diana recognized God’s plan for her was to take this pain and turn it in to an opportunity to help others in an industry that needs ethical healthcare navigators. The vision was to form a business plan where she could serve others and not only be a licensed agent, but make time to serve her community .
She opened Albritton Insurance Services in 2004 and founded Lunch Club Wednesday in 2006. Lunch Club Wednesday is a ladies networking club with over 700+ members and provides a place where women could come together twice a year, make new friends, learn from each other and also encourage them to “Rise and Shine." Diana also founded a non-profit 501-c(3) organization, Knotty Girl Loves, Inc. in 2013. Knotty Girl, with her rope and knot body is a VISUAL representation of what breast cancer can feel like, round and hard like a KNOT! Her mission is to EDUCATE on the importance of monthly breast self-checks for the early detection of breast cancer!
Diana welcomes each NEW season of life & birthday with joy! Diana enjoys working with clients from Florida and North Carolina and care-giving for her parents, making time for her family, serving on several community boards, helping women network, kayaking, working out, hiking and Dragon Boat Racing with a Breast Cancer Survivor Team in Orlando (Warriors on Water)! With an arm she thought would be a negative destiny after Breast Cancer, today Diana proudly says, “No Plan, NO Action and Do It While YOU Can!” and hopes she can inspire others with the same mind set!
